Guys sorry I'm missing to continue posting the Part 2 of the review / preview of 2011 / 2012, this past few days have been a bit weird for me...but yeah...

Thanks again for the 10000 views, it means a lot to me! 

This year brought me so much happiness, so much sadness, so much despair, so much anger...

I lost myself, I found myself, and I lost myself again, though I'm finding myself bit by bit again...

Thanks to gunpla I was able to forget bad stuff for those seconds, minutes, hours, days, I worked around these models I have.

Time WELL SPENT! That's all I can say!

I'd like to give a special thanks to 3 awesome dudes, that are always by my side in my hour of need, Hummingbird, Kriz, (from mac forums, for their support and critics on my works) and ZackFair ( my dear best friend that showed me and introduced me to gunpla last year)

I'll continue my special posts next year! As I'll be going to a friends house tomorrow in the early morning, and be party all day :D (I deserve it muhahaha)

Hope your 2011 year was cool, and I wish your 2012 to be better, and if possible with gunpla, amazing projects and results!!

10000 Views Special - 2011 Review and 2012 Preview - Part 1

Wow...10000 views, I can't believe it, it was like what? 3 months ago I was partying because I had 7000 views, and now 10000 ehehe...

College Projects

So lately I have been so damn busy with college works and in this one we had to do some chairs, draws and then a 1:5 scale model of the chair,

One is called "Zig Zag" and the other "Red And Blue", I made the Zig Zag one, with Pla Plates, a hell of a work it gave me, but it was fun ^^ and the Red and Blue was made with balsa wood. Hope you enjoy this, and tomorrow I might put new pictures!

Warhammer - Skeleton Soldiers - WIP Part 2

Here I am for a small WIP, yesterday I started painting, some of the figures, and I gotta say, I was struggling to do the white on the skeletons, but in the end I got it alright I guess, I have here some "low quality pictures" to show you guys, of my first painted Warhammer figure :)

Sorry for the bad pictures, but the lighting I had was not the best and since this is so small, my camera has some difficulty on capturing really small and detailed stuff.

This figures will still have some touch ups, specially on the base, but I'll leave that for the next update, see you then ;)

Warhammer Figures - Skeletons WIP - Part 1 & Gunpla Updates

 

 So today I started working on this little guys, seriously they are very damn small, I wanna see how I am gonna paint them ahaha...this week I'm gonna start painting them, I still need some paints, like browns and black, and I can finally start this small journey :)

 

Now the Gunpla Updates! I finished the Real Grade RX-78-2 the other day, and so here is just a picture of how I have him standing on my display case :)

And I started today doing the Real Grade Zaku II Char's Custom, only 3 hours of work there, and I done 1/3 of the model, the result so far so good, I'm enjoying it a lot, it feels so smooth, and the legs are so solid, much more than the RX, it has like the solidness of a HG, but it's so complex like a MG, damn...I'm in love with Zaku II *.*

Welcome to another small update, this last few weeks have been crazy, and this past few days...uber crazy, nights that I almost never slept so I could deliver college works, and nights where I hangout with friends.

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama WIP - Part 3

So here is the Part 3 of the WIP of this diorama, this is a short one, yesterday I created the "moon" surface for the diorama, I still have to do some clean up job on it before painting.

Don't worry about the panel lines, I covered them with masking tape to protect them ahaha ;)

Gunpla and Life Update/ News

So...here I am again, college is taking a lot of time for me to work on gunpla and life problems...but I'll be ok :)

So, The Part III of the Wip is coming today :P I just finished laying the moon surface for the diorama, and I'll take some pictures later and post them here ehehe

Also I received a gunpla model last week, a RG Zaku II Char's Custom, it was on sale on HLJ and I couldn't let it go, it was also a gift for having passed my driving exam ehehe

I still need to finish the RG RX-78-2 before going on the Zaku...


Well, news? Omg finally the HG's Banshee Unicorn has been announced, both the Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, can't wait to see more of them ehehe ^^

As also a MG Duel Gundam from the Seed Series, amazing! It means we are going to see a MG of Buster, Aegis and Blitz! YEAH!!

And last but not least, a RG Skygrasper with blaster and sword packs has been annouced, I'm so happy, because I was going to buy the NG 1/144 Skygrasper and Moebius Zero and would have to do custom work on the Skygrasper for it to fit the RG Aile Pack.

Seems Bandai heard my prays ehehe...see you guys on the WIP later today :P

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama WIP - Part 2

Welcome o Part 2 of the WIP, with only like...5 to 6 hours of work I think I've done a lot,

corrected some panel lines, and add more details to the floor, including battle damage...

I also tried a new technique, melting runners to make very thin plastic strings, perfect to simulate cables, I'll show you the pictures, relax :)

 Also added some walls to help shape the lunar/meteorite surface..

I've corrected the panel lines, this is before the final touch up, which included, a stronger and weaker sand paper to give a pre finish, and then wet sanded and it got a lot smoother...but all this was after this picture.

The outside part which was also sanded later...

And then I created a small structure, which will be inside a "mountain" and it will have to resist to a certain amount of weight that I'll be putting on top of it, so why not testing it with some weight :)

The structure resisted a lot better than I was expecting.

 A picture of the overall look, not, after the sandings, and the added battle damage to the floor which I'll show now.

 This is a small battle damage, showing some "wires" that I made by melting some runners.

 The corner of the diorama was also battle damaged, showing that the floor cracked there.

And the hole made from a beam shoot, now without weathering it, it looks like shit but I'll look cool in the end :)

This is the result of all my work till now ahaha, my desk was a mess, now I have cleaned it don't worry ehehe :)

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama Work In Progress - Part 1

Welcome to my new project, the "Last One Standing".

This will be a very challenging one, it'll require a lot of time and patience, still, I think I'll manage to do it successfully.

This is the last draw, where I imagined and placed all the essential stuff for the diorama.

As I referred many times in the past, this diorama I'm doing, will go for a friend of mine.

So as my previous diorama, I started by cutting some wood for a very strong base for my construction.

And then I started cutting some pla plate for the "floor"

Then I designed some panel lines and this is the result (after a small china ink panel line wash just for checking how deep and wide were the panel lines)

As you can see, some panel lines will need some touch ups, but so far I like it a lot.

The part I'll enjoy more will be creating the terrain just like a meteor/moon surface.

And then the painting I think will be very cool too, can't wait to show you more stuff.

Since this diorama will be more precise in terms of what I have to put there, to make it more believable, I have to use more images as concept art, inspiration and reference pictures.

1/100 - "Last One Standing" - Diorama first update!

Hello guys! Been away from this blog a couple days, these days I have very little time to post things, but two days ago I received what I needed to start my project with my friend.

We ordered some decals and he got them first, and he sent me the ones I wanted, and also a base for the Strike Freedom MG, which I'll be using on the diorama so It'll be a Diorama fully made for Strike Freedom MG.

I have been gathering some inspirations, checking some artwork and all that, and I'm gonna post some pictures I used as reference for the initial concept.

The concept is pretty simple...Strike Freedom will be the Last One Standing..

The diorama will include a lot of tiny tiny detail and I intend to push myself to my limits once again :)

is more colourful that all other things...

Like it was a whole other colour...

Something that you could see and distinguish...

"Oh hii" - Mini Update

So, yeah I kinda abandoned the blog, well, not on purpose, just because life is full now, I don't even have time for music...

College is taking like 75 % of my time, the rest are all other activities...

I'm tired because this is a more exhausting life style.

College has been so fun ehehe, I like people there, they are friendly and we all get along well :)

The teachers are very cool too, a bit demanding but yeah I guess it's normal eheh

I'm gonna be back at modelling this month or next one, with the diorama base project for ZackFair's Strike Freedom.

I ordered some decals and I'm waiting for some pieces to start working on it, I want it to be so kick ass, I have so many damn good ideas!

So I saw this over at Gundam Guy and I couldn't speak about this, it's obvious the inspirations of the Age 2 and Age 3, it's uber obvious ahaha...any gundam fan would see that, Age 2 based on 00 Raiser and Age 3 based on S gundam and ZZ Gundam.

I don't hate it neither like it...I just have to wait and see...

Project: AstrayGamer Begins!! - Pre-7000 Views Special Announcement!

I'm so pumped with the fact I'm almost getting 7000 views on my blog that I'm making a huge announcement right now and here!

It is with great great pleasure that the project called AstrayGamer.net is going to start.

AstrayGamer.net is a Portuguese Web Site, which belongs to my dear friend ZackFair, he introduced me to his project last year, I said I'd help him out if he needed, a few months ago, we made some modifications to the site, and we started posting some stuff. But like I did on this blog, soon we stop posting on the site, school life and personal life leave very few time to post stuff.

Now we made some changes for easy access to everyone and for better organization.

Our dream is to make AG something like Gundam Guy or Gunjap, but in Portuguese, and will include room not only for Gundam and Gunpla, but for figures, anime, mecha, modelling and gaming.

 I'm a proud admin of AG and I'll do my best to post here and on there.

I already know the schedule for college, and I'll have classes from 18 or 6pm to 22.30 or 10.30 pm, and I'll have classes on Saturdays from 8am till 14 or 2pm...weird schedule, but I have to take it and accept it!

Once again, the AstrayGamer.net is a Portuguese Web Site, so only Portuguese readers can fully understand it, I know it can be a bother to some of you, but the only thing I can recommend is either learn Portuguese or use Google Translator if you want to check our Web Site. (Sorry...)

This for us Portuguese community is very important, because there are a few blogs, some gaming web sites, but when it comes to modelling or anime, there are only forums, so what we are doing is getting the best of each and put it on the same place, and for now there won't be a forum section, though we might release it this year.

So Portuguese and Brazilians that read this blog, you now have a new place to stop by!

Sorry guys for not having done any update on my diorama project, I finished it a few days ago, and you can find it on MAC and GAF forums, I guess I gave them a few days of exclusivity ehehe...

This blog has also got a new design update, just because I felt like doing it, I was kinda annoyed with the last one.

And I have a new project to announce, it's a collaboration project between me and a friend called, Astraygamer, we posted our first work in progress in MAC forums, I haven't done a thing yet, as I'm going to start doing some research on what to do.

He his making a MG Strike Freedom, and I'll be making a diorama for it.

I kinda have the passion for dioramas now ehehe.

Work in Progress - 1/144 "Lost in Battle" - Part 3 (Final Part!)

So, I started checking some of works for the Europe Gunpla Cup 2011 over at MAC Forums, I got really inspired for a diorama project...so I started wondering which projects I could do, I already have 2 or 3 on paper, and one of them I started working on 3D, so I could get a better sense of dimensions, but those projects are now on hold...

1/144 - F-14A Black Tomcat - Gallery

 

Here it is! Finally! (I guess..)

After a couple months of work(or should I say...lack of it...eheh) here is the Gallery / Review of this great model from Revell, and it's a 1/144 scale model, which is damn small, and the details it has for that scale...are amazing! 

Where is the F-14 dude???

Well the F-14 is done and double done, I finished it and posted it on a forum, the MAC forum and they recommended me to decal it, so I when to a shop a week ago and I bough two products called Micro Set and Micro Sol, and they are really good to set and make a water slide decal stick to a surface so I also decaled my F-14!

I might post the gallery today as I am in a really good mood, since I went to a shop to buy some pla plate, and ended up buying a roll of 2500mm x 1000mm of 0.5mm pla plate and two 1000mm x 700mm of 0.3 mm pla plate, one of them is going straight to a friend of mine :)

1/144 F-14A Black Tomcat Work In Progress FINAL!

So here I am digging this work, I abandoned a couple months ago, due to lot of school work and it really consumed my time...

This is the Last WIP of this project, I actually bought the paints like a month ago, but today my mother called me to help her cleaning some stuff, and I found out some pieces I left them dry a couple weeks ago, so I decided, why not, finish this thing?

So I only needed to paint the aircraft, and so I did, I had a clear primer and a black semi gloss spray paint, for the model, at first I was like...bahhh clear primer...let  me try this thing out, but it actually works really well, and gives a really nice and smooth touch to the surface, and prepares it for the paint...

I of course tested it on some pieces and runners before going straight for the plane, and tcharam ~!, the result was really good for me and so I went and painted the plane. Here are some pictures :)

At the top left some missiles, and the bottom left another missiles, which I painted grey just to give it some more colour, I intend to panel line it later too since it has some cool channels for it.

And at the right the fuel tanks, which I painted white according with the manual.

Here it is the bottom part, already painted, these paints I find really good because they dry really fast, the primer, dries well in 10 - 15 minutes, and the paint, an hour is enough, although they say minimum 2 hours...

I find the paint really easy to use, it dries fast, and it makes the colour uniform, also since it is semi gloss, it is kinda like bandai's plastic without being painted, so it's not flat neither glossy, it's medium, and I love the result :D

I'm leaving it to dry a couple more hours, and then I'll go and make the final touches, panel lining and paint some details on the wheels and stuff :)

I feel like I have the spirit back on me, since I was kind let down of some experiments I had done with previous paints and primers, and was really sad, and I had no hope for this project, at least for the next weeks / months, luckily I finally got right with the primer and paint, so I'm really really happy for this work...

It is my first "true" project, and I gave it my best, and still am going to do so, but really got me excited for doing more gunpla and more projects...

Really am expecting to finish this thing later tonight, and I'll be posting some pictures! See you all later!!

Gunpla Spirit [ ON!! ] - F-14 Update

So I'm finally back from my summer vacations at the south of the country, and I had plenty time to rest, and gather some ideas and renew my spirit for gunpla...

Today I decided it was the day to finally prime and paint my F-14 aircraft, right now, I have already gave him a couple coats of primer and let it dry, and about an hour ago I gave him the first coat of paint...

I'm using really weird spray paints, but the results are so good! For primer I'm using a "clear plastic primer" yes it's really clear like a clear coat, but it's really good, I tested it on a couple spare pieces and runners, and the results + painting are amazing!

Since it's clear it doesn't have colour pigments so it takes like 10 minutes to fully dry, and this at the sun, because today is actually a sunny day around here, lucky me :D

I'm taking a few pictures later, because today I'll have this fully painted, still have to see if I'll use the decals for the plane.

This is the first step of becoming a gunpla modeller, and I'm so happy that I took that step today :D

"One Year War" - Hobby Corner's 1 Year Anniversary

Well it's not actually about the OYW Gundam, but more the One Year anniversary of this blog, it was on the 10th of July 2010 I started this blog, with a Wip of a 1/600 HMS Belfast Model which you can check here.

Since then I have made a couple gundam models, like the HG's Exia and GN-X, HGUC Unicorn, and HGFC God Gundam, and a MG Red Frame Astray, till now I only have done reviews for the Exia and God Gundam, the reviews take a lot of time to make, and unfortunately I time is something that I don't have much lately, I finished my F-14 model, but haven't started painting it, and the RG RX-78-2 is halfway done...

Today I'll have my vacations, and I'm going to somewhere far, so I won't be able to gunpla, and do much...

I did succeed on my national exams, with good grades, but I had try making it again so I could have a better grade, and I'm still waiting for it's result since I made it last week...

I'm taking my time, not trying to rush or spam posts here about gunpla, I'm trying to get the gunpla spirit back to me, I still have lot's to do, and very short time to make those things, but I'll try making them...

I have a plan for my Reviews, they'll be shorter, simpler, and better, as for Work in Progress, I'll try making some of those, I don't want to promise anything, because I can't always reach everywhere, and unfortunately some of the things that get affected by my personal problems is gunpla and this blog...

I'll also will try to do some tutorials, I have some stuff planned and it will be cool, still have to test my HD Camera's recording quality on Youtube before doing videos, which is something I'd really love to do, instead of just posting images here, I'd do a video or a video-slide-show review/wip/tutorial  :)

Great plans great stuff I have in mind, like I said, I don't have much time but I'll work a lot on the "Season 2" of Tonythem's Hobby Corner, starting in mid-august...

I hope this blog gets bigger and bigger, it's just 1 Year old, and it has given me so much, it's really nice to get feedback from you, so I hope you don't stop doing that :)

Try keep your Gunpla Spirit and don't stop messing up with that plastic :D

22/06/11 Gunpla Talk

Woo!! Finally national exams are over! That means, no more school till September yeah! xD

This also means I'll finally have time for gunpla again....

After a couple months without progress, I'll try prime my F-14 this weekend, but before I'll be doing some colour tests and all that stuff...

Next gunpla? Well lately I've fell in love with Zeta Gundam series designs, so I will want Zeta and Mk2 Gundams, dunno if they are going to be in HG or MG...but I'm kinda waiting for their release as RG...that would be perfect!

But on my list there is the NG Red Frame...and the 1/144 EX-15 Mobius Zero & Sky Grasper since I would love to customise the Sky Grasper that only fits Seed HG's backpacks to RG Strike backpack...since this EX model pack is kinda Rare I might get it ASAP...but only work on the Mobius...

14/06/11 - Gunpla Update and Talk

So hello everybody!

No I didn't give up on the blog! I just had to do a stop, my life in this past months has been chaotic....

Lot of school works and tests, so I had to work my butt off this months, and since it's my last year of high school, I have the final exams and this is the first and final week we have to study for the exams, I decided to show up here and talk a bit, since I haven't said a single word in a couple months...

Well gunpla update....I haven't touch on the F-14 since my last update, I still need to prime and paint it, it won't take much time, I plan on doing that after the exams...

March 12th I bought the RG RX-78-2 my first grade of this Mobile Suit, I already started it, I just made the legs and waist...just like the F-14 it's still on wait to be continued...

This months have really been crazy, no patience and time for gunpla, gaming or any other things...

I could do gunpla, but I prefer doing it with time so I don't commit mistakes...

Also this last days has been announced the new Gundam Anime Series, the Gundam AGE...I'm kinda disappointed, I was expecting like better designs...not that I don't like them, but I would love to get better ones... = / 

Still not gonna criticise the show and all that before seeing it so I'm looking forward to it!

So yeah, starting with the updates, I decided doing a small break at gunpla, and so I bought this 1/144 Revell F-14 Black Tomcat model...it costed me 7€ + transports which costed me 4€...so 11€ for a small really good looking model...

So I have been a bit away lately, unfortunately I had a couple works to do, so the only time I can spend on my gunpla is almost 0, I can say I have 95 % finished the Astray, YES!! No pictures though...I still want to review GN-X and Unicorn first....

HGUC 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Review Delayed

Unfortunatly yes I had to delay the review for a couple days, because I got so addicted to my MG Red Frame that I lost the best hours to do the photo shooting...so it will have to wait till this next weekend, and then I'll do the Unicorn's Review and the GN-X review too :)

I built the action base included in the Red Frame, for my next reviews and sure it will be very helpful.

New Gunpla!! YES!! :DD And Work in progress

 So this is it, my Christmas present! And Christmas was more or less 3 weeks ago...humm...yeahh...never mind...I don't blame HLJ, I do blame the traffic problems that where caused by the bad weather in Europe and the stupid guys that stopped this package from entering to my country...

Review: HGFC 1/144 God Gundam

So my second review is now UP!! Yeah :D

This one will be a bit bigger than the last one. So this image is actually a imagem I took and then edited it in Photoshop, it was the first time I did this with a gunpla model, and with fire effects, so I personally think the result is cool, at least I like it...

Review: HG 1/144 Exia Repair II

So finally I do my first review, due to lack of time, patience, "health", and lot's of other things, my gunpla reviews, where delayed, back in August or September, I did a first photo session for Exia, but the pictures where really dark, and I didn't like them at all...so here is it, my review! This is the Intro picture, just for fun I photoshopped it a little bit and gave a small glow in it's eyes, ehehe...

What will my reviews look like??

So here is just a quick post just to release some frustration, like...I was hoping to receive my MG Red Frame yesterday, instead, I received a letter from the "custom house" is it? I don't really know how to say this in English...
